If you could please introduce yourself?

What's up. My name is Audelio Flores Jr im 26 years old. I grew up in Los Angeles California mainly around Montebello/ East Los Angeles Area.. (Where did you grow up / what was your hometown like / how old are you)
 
Was there a particular aim SYG had when you all first started out? Did you ever think you would tour the world?
 I think when the band started out the Goal was to play music that was fun for us. I joined SYG when Mutiny was finished being tracked.

I meet the SYG guy's in the Winter of 04, I was playing with a HC called Make Move and we were touring with The Warriors and SYG. That was actually SYG first tour ever. A year later im in the band touring full time, i honestly never thought we would tour the world. I figured we would do a few US run's and that was it.
 
How many goals have you set yourself of late? Or new years resolutions you’ve stuck too?
The only goal i've set in life is to be a good Person.
 
At what age did you first get into hardcore and who were the first bands that really spoke to you?
 I got into Punk/Hardcore in middle school i think i was about 12 years old. I was really into Pearl Jam, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden at that time too. But the bands that really got my blood going have to be Minor Threat and Black Flag. But my all time favorite band is PJ.
 
At what point did you learn about Straight Edge and was it something you immediately identified with?
I learned about SXE through my friend Johnny who started taking me to Show's at a young age. It was something i really identified with right away. I grew up around Drug's and Alcohol as a kid and i hated it. Also my Parents were always a good influence, they've never done drugs and i've never seen them Drunk.
 
What does being straight edge mean to you?
SXE to me is a personal choice, i choose to live a Drug/Alcohol free life. I never get tempted to try it and i never will. I've seen what it's done to friends and family and i don't ever want to loose control of my life. But i also don't Judge people who aren't SXE, it's not for everyone but if i see a friend in trouble i would always help them out. I have plenty of friends who do stuff but at least they are responsible.
 
How important is it to your life? Is it something you think about or just a natural part of your lifestyle now?
SXE is very important to me. I've been SXE for 11 years going on to 12. Now i don't think about it as much it just comes natural to me. I could be around Drugs and Alcohol and thought about trying either never goes through my head.
 
What have been the highlights of being in SYG?
One of the biggest highlights has been doing the Gorilla Biscuit re union show's we got do 9 show's in the State's and 1 in Berlin after our tour was over.
